This page allows users to discover and manage data, which are described using metadata records. Metadata records are used to provide contextual information pertaining to data, and as such they are crucial for long-term data preservation.
"Describe a new dataset" is for sending metadata records to the AADC. At the end of this process you may also “Upload a dataset” (datasets may be submitted at a later date).
"Upload a new dataset" is for sending your datasets to the AADC. At the end of this process you must also “Describe a dataset” (or link to an existing metadata record).
"Search for datasets" is for discovering metadata records and their accompanying datasets. You will also be given the option to edit or clone existing metadata records.
Once you have logged-in, you will be able to use the "My Datasets" link to see all the metadata records you are responsible for. Information about formats such as 'Standard ISO' can be found here. A list of common metadata and data FAQs can be found here.
